The centuries-old Telugu language was introduced by Sri Krishnadevaraya University in association with other arts departments in 1988 at Government College, Pattikonda.  The Telugu department of the college has imparted an aspirational and ethical education on literature to many students. The department is also working to provide college students with material related to competitive examinations so that they can get top jobs.  Occasionally poets, artists and scholars are brought in to give guest Lectures to the students to increase their awareness and interest in Telugu literature.  We also organize activities such as poetry reading, proverb collection, storytelling and storytelling for students' literary creation.  Similarly, the Telugu Department has set up a library for the development of literary reading for the students, setting up a platform for them to read literary books with the students, discuss the contents with their fellow students and share their views.  In addition, we provide support to the Telugu faculty and students to participate in all the programs held in the college and to organize the programs successfully.  We are taking steps to make the students from the Telugu section the best citizens in the future.
