The zoology Department was established in the year 1997 in this prestigious and historical institution. The department has offeredB.Sc. with B.Z.C combination.The present faculty consisting of Dr.Md.Osman Ahmed,In charge of the Department & I.Q.A.C Coordinator,Smt.GIndira Devi Lecturer in Zoology. Both are striving hard for the progress and the development of the department

The department has offered B.Sc with A.C.T (Aquaculture Technology, Zoology, and Chemistry) in 2020-21 Academic years.The department has modern infrastructure facilities, including well-equipped laboratory and a fascinating museum housing a collection of rare and intriguing specimens. These resources provide students with hands-on experiences, allowing them to delve deeper into the world of zoology and foster their centric temper.

The department takes pride in its student-centric approach to education, where participative and experiential learning methods are embraced. By involving students actively in their learning process, the faculty nurtures a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subject matter.

To further enhance the teaching-learning process, the department extensively utilizes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools. This reflects their commitment to giving back to society and promoting the welfare of the community.The department has its own library with an impressive collection of 800 zoology-related books.
