DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2003 as an institution offering undergraduate courses in Computer Science and Applications. It is one of the youngest departments at Government Degree College, Pattikonda which has 34 years of history. Currently, it has 1 faculty member and over 80 students pursuing Bachelor’s degree. The Department of Computer Science offering 2 undergraduate courses.

Department of Computer Science has MOUs with First Step Pvt. Limited and Today Computer Technology, Kurnool. The Department comprises of 1 fully Air Conditioned Computer Laboratory with 15 systems, state of the art computing facilities with sufficient power supply backup. The Department of Computer Science takes care of Software & Hardware requirements of the entire college

Students of CS department are motivated to be innovative in their thinking while being strong in the Computer Science Core Knowledge. They are exposed to latest technology through guest and ICT lectures. They are trained in web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySql.

Department of Computer Science is functioning together with Mathematics, Physics, English, and Telugu.
