Brief History of Department of History
The department of history launched its journey in 1988 as general subject in B.A group with H.E.P and there is demand amongst students for opting history as main subject. There are at present 60 sanctioned seats in B.A group (H.E.P-60) there is one full-time teacher in the department.
The department has produced innumerable students throughout the year. Many students of the department have established themselves in various sectors, especially as accomplished constables, school teachers, Junior college lecturers and Degree college lecturers and keep in touch with the department as alumni.
Besides teaching the department organizes student’s seminar, debates, group discussions, quiz’s and prepare students for quiz competition at the district level, so that they can keep pace with the time. The student can express their views used independently.
